The Owner/Founder of The Wellbeing Hub

KAILEIGHThe Owner/Founder of the Wellbeing Hub

Who am I?I'm Kaileigh, the owner & founder of The Wellbeing Hub. I am a Psychology Graduate from Victoria, Australia. I am Neurodivergent, with Autism and ADHD. I have lived experience with mental health, as a patient, a carer and as a worker. I've seen what mental health support should and should not look like - from all angles.

Hobbies & Interests:I enjoy music (primarily metal, but I also LOVE Sabrina Carpenter), I love art & design, crafts, Youtube, True Crime, Gaming.

I couldn't live without: Iced Coffee. My Dog. Bamboo Linen or Jersey Fabric (yes, it is special because I don't get a sensory ick).

Life Goals: Helping people, and travelling the world.

Why did I create The Wellbeing Hub & Empowered Minds?

I created The Wellbeing Hub & Empowered Minds because I am passionate about supporting others living with mental health difficulties, neurodiversity, chronic illness and their carers/loved ones.

I have my own Lived Experience with ill-mental health and have overcome my own hurdles in this healing journey, as well as caring for and supporting loved ones who have also experienced ill-mental health. Because I am neurodivergent, I am also able to create effective resources that are easy to use for individuals like myself with ADHD and Autism.

I have also spent many years working in the Mental Health field which enabled me to see what was missing, on top of my own experiences as a consumer.

My Experience:

Currently Studying: Masters of Clinical Psychology.

Work experience: In-Person Mental Health, Neurodiversity, Disability & Peer Support Work.

Completed Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Psychological Science - La Trobe University
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) - La Trobe University
  • Certificate IV in Community Services - TAFE
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention - Melbourne Polytechnic
